Issue One, the premiere of something new…
Welcome to the premiere issue of FiveFiveNine Magazine!
Issue One features photo galleries stories from some of the world’s top photographers, a few of which are listed below. As well there is our “Firing Range” section featuring amazing images taken recently, and “The Vault”, a gallery of images from the past few years that should have been printed but for whatever reason weren’t. While they’re not totally current we feel they still deserve to be seen.
FiveFiveNine is a pdf file designed to be read with the latest version of the free Acrobat Reader. If you don’t have it you can download it here.

Black and White

Aaron Chase in Aptos
We hope you enjoy this series of B&W images from photographer Sterling Lorence as much as we did. It runs from abstract to action and it made us want to ride our bikes…
El Salvador

Watson, Mitch and Hunter, searching for trails in El Salvador.
Last year a group of us went to El Salvador to surf some waves and look for ridable terrain. This is the story of our trip as told by Steve Mitchell…
It is always just after the holidays that the conversations come up between our groups of friends about ideas of a spring trip. I am usually up for any good epic, but it has to be somewhere I haven’t been before and it has to involve more than just sitting on a beach to escape our ever rainy and dark home of coastal BC. So, when Dave Watson mentioned that a rumored group of uber riders, industry honcho’s and a pro photographer were loosely planning a Surf/Bike trip to El Salvador it wasn’t long before I said I’m in! After all, it was the only country I had skipped on a previous Motorcycle adventure to Central America and El Salvador needed exploring.
As plans came together and bikes and boards went into boxes; the confirmed attendants were Matt Hunter, Dave Watson, Ian Hylands, Derek Dejong, Steve Delacruz, and myself.
